We arrived late at night in Singapore two days ago. When we got to the hotel I was begging to jump into the pool, but it was already closed for the night. After a good sleep, the first thing I said was, ‘let’s get into the pool’. Mum and dad were like, ‘heck, yes’. It’s so hot and sticky here. We walked a very long way to Chinatown, which has lots of food and trinkets. Normally I don’t drink Coke, but on holiday I’m allowed. Yippee. At night we went to Sentosa island to go luging. We first did the jungle trail, then the dragon trail. It was very jungly and mysterious, especially because it was dark. To get back to the top we had to take a chairlift… it was so high and my dad was so scared. His knuckles were white from holding on. To finish the day we were back in the pool.
I’m really having a good time but miss my friends and teachers, too.

Hi Edith, Looks like you are having a wonderful time in singapore I am so jealous of you 😄! What is the time difference in singapore? Mr mckay showed this to us in class but right now it is 7:06 on friday .Have a wonderful rest of the trip 🐼!
From Eloise
Hi Eloise
The time difference with Singapore is 4 hours, so it was 5am in Singapore when school started at Muritai at 9am. The difference with London is 11 hours, which feels strange. I takes a while to sleep properly because I feel awake when it’s night time and sleepy when it’s day time. Right now it is 6.22pm here on Friday, June 7, but it’s already 5.22 in the morning on Saturday in Wellington.
See you next month. And please keep reading the blog and replying or asking questions.
Bye
Edith
